The Giunta Nasal Osteotome features a double guard construction and a precise curve design. The double guard allows lateral osteotomies to be performed under both the anterior and posterior periosteum of the nasal bones. This prevents tears in the periosteum and the procedure can be performed with less bleeding and bruising. The precise curve allows for the ideal wide lateral osteotomy, producing a smooth cut low on the maxillary process, thereby preventing ridging and producing a natural appearance on infracturing. The design of the Giunta Nasal Osteotome allows the surgeon to use one instrument for both sides. It is also ideal for anterior nasal spine and pre-maxillary work. The instrument is also offered in a straight model.
